Wedding photography at Hazlewood Castle weddings
Are you getting married at Hazlewood Castle – a great place for weddings?
Hazlewood Castle weddings offer you the magnificence of a historic castle, the seclusion of a wedding venue quietly tucked away in its own grounds, and easy access from the A64 and the A1M with direct routes from all major towns in the area.
Civil wedding ceremonies can be conducted on the premises. St Leonards Chapel sits in the grounds. Couples can enjoy a full church blessing immediately following their civil ceremony inside the castle. The grounds, woods and courtyard at Hazlewood Castle are superb for wedding photography, with extensive views towards York.
The Great Hall is ideal for your wedding breakfast and evening entertainment.
Steve Ramsden Photography at Hazlewood Castle
We have photographed lots of weddings at Hazlewood Castle over the past 10 years or so. The guest rooms are delicately quaint and are a gorgeous backdrop for brides getting ready at the castle.
The Hazlewood Castle estate has such variety. You can be sure that no two weddings ever look the same. There are reception rooms available inside, too, which gives flexibility in the case of poor weather.
I have added a slideshow below with a wide selection of wedding photography at Hazlewood Castle, together with links to some recent Hazlewood Castle weddings.
How to find Hazlewood Castle
1/4 mile or so before the A1M, travelling west along the A64, is a small slip road, with Hazlewood Castle well signposted. Take the slip road exit, and approx 100 yds on the right is the road through the woods to Hazlewood Castle. (Straight ahead at this point is a farm track which does take you to the back door of Hazlewood Castle, I would recommend you take the front door route through the woods.) See here for more details. If you travel from the A1M, or west-east along the A64, you need to pull off the A64 approx 1/2 mile after the A1M exit, pass over the A64, and double back towards Leeds to pick up the Hazlewood Castle slip road exit. This is clearly signposted on the east bound A64.
