Wedding photography of Hannah and Daniel at The Black Swan Hotel, Helmsley
Don’tcha just love to wake up to clear blue skies on a wedding day? Dontcha? I do.
I just know we’re set for some cracking good photos when the weather man sends us bright sunshine and strong blue skies. Saturday was no exception, and the drive to Helmsley was full of anticipation as we headed for Hannah and Daniel’s wedding.
First stop – The Black Swan , Helmsley, where Hannah was getting ready with her bridesmaids.
It’s been a while since I last photographed at The Black Swan, and it is looking fresh, modern, trendy, light, airy, colourful, wonderful in fact.
The gardens are also looking fabulous, a perfect place to spend an afternoon with family and friends. Make that a wedding party, and all the better. After photographing Hannah getting ready, we headed off to Easingwold.
The wedding ceremony itself was at St John The Evangelist’s Catholic Church on the High Street. It was packed with guests who had come to see this happy couple get married. Helmsley is a gorgeous backdrop for a wedding, I love it there anyhow.
But add in the excitement and fun of a wedding day, and it’s something else. Guests enjoyed a lovely afternoon out in the sunshine.
The garden was glorious. Dinner was in the restaurant at the hotel, carefully set in Hannah’s strong pink colour scheme.
A big thank you goes out to Nicola and her team at The Black Swan, who did a great job in looking after the guests and of course, the bride and groom.
I’ve added a selection of teaser photos from the day below, with more to follow when Hannah and Daniel return from honeymoon. You can see more photos on my Facebook Page here.
