Sun Pavilion, Harrogate – wedding photography of Sarah and Robert
Sarah and Robert were recently married at Bramhope Methodist Church in Leeds, before enjoying a sunny afternoon wedding reception at the Sun Pavilion, Harrogate.
It’s almost becoming expected throughout the summer of 2012 that wedding days will have their fair share of rainy downpours, and this was no exception. On the day, heavy rain in and around Harrogate and Leeds in the morning made me think about contingency plans for photographing in church and also indoors at The Sun Pavilion.
As luck would have it, most of the rain came in the morning, and by the afternoon, the skies cleared and we actually saw the sunshine for at least some of the afternoon. The great thing about heavy rain is that once it does clear, we’re left with great light, warm afternoons, and a lovely aspect over the gardens at The Sun Pavilion, where guests can enjoy a refreshing drink and a natter before dinner.
After group photographs with their friends and families, Robert and Sarah spent a short time in the gardens for some pictures of their own, before returning to The Pavilion for the rest of the reception.
Once dinner was over, a Ceilidh band entertained, and I have to say, it was probably the fullest dance floor I’ve seen at a wedding Ceilidh outside Scotland.
In the meantime, here are a few tasters from the day for you to enjoy.
