Jenny and Rob’s Pre wedding portrait shoot at Rise Hall
Earlier this week we drove over to the beautiful Rise Hall to meet up with Jenny and Rob, who’s wedding we will be photographing at the end of November.
Jenny and Rob were introduced to us by Liz and Gary, who’s wedding we will be photographing shortly at Sandburn Hall near York. Both couples will be married at St Peter’s Church, Hutton, and we’re really looking forward to both weddings.
We’ve not photographed at Rise Hall before, and it’s always useful to have a look around in advance and be familiar with the layout of a venue.
I felt fairly familiar with Rise Hall, having followed the progress of renovations on telly. To be fair, I’m not sure the programme does the place justice – it really is much bigger inside than I’d imagined, and extremely well finished and presented.
The sports hall dining area, for example, looks fabulous, and I can’t wait to see it fully dressed for Jenny and Rob’s wedding.
There is also access to beautiful side rooms for wedding guests, and ample room for relaxing and enjoying any event, not just weddings.
For Jenny and Rob’s portraits we stayed outdoors.
I thought it would be nice for us to photograph them in the gardens, and take advantage of the scenic backdrops.
Again, the gardens are beautiful, well tended and mature, just the sort of thing we’re looking for.
There are also some old outhouses off to the side of the main building, which gave us the chance to take some gorgeous rustic styled photos to add to the mix.
We really enjoyed the afternoon, and a massive thank you goes to Helen at Rise Hall for her hospitality (a lovely cuppa tea) and use of the front room at Rise Hall.
Here’s a few teaser photos from the shoot, click here to have a look at more on our Facebook page.
Thanks Jenny and Rob, see you again in a few weeks.
