Are you getting married at Allerton Castle ?
Allerton Castle is a superbly Gothic venue with easy access from the A1M. Its terrace overlooks extensive gardens, affording picturesque views to the west. The brightly decorated ballrooom is ideal for your wedding breakfast. The Drawing room, ornately dressed in yellows and golds, is where couples sign the register after a civil ceremony at the castle. The sweeping staircase has large chandelier stands on each side at the base. It it a fantastic back drop for you as you descend the staircase for your civil wedding ceremony in the Great Hall. Or for you and your groom to have a grand entrance for your first dance, with a DJ or band playing in front of the main fireplace.
For a wedding with character, Allerton Castle is high on the list of venues to consider. Just an idea, but why not allow a little extra time in your wedding plans? We can take a walk with you to the bottom of the gardens for some alternative wedding photos? This will give you some ‘long shot’ views of Allerton Castle. Something completely different for your wedding photographs and album.

How to find the venue
From J47 of the A1M, head east towards York on the A59. After a few hundred yards, take the first left, this swings around to the Boroughbridge Road (the old A1). At the T junctions, turn right (north) and after 500 yds the entrance is on the right.
