Allerton Castle Weddings
Last week we photographed Grace and Tony’s wedding at Myton On Swale church and afterwards at Allerton Castle. Grace was a bridesmaid when we photographed her sister’s wedding a few years ago, and it was lovely to revisit her parents’ home for Grace’s wedding prep shots.
The flowers were supplied by Jean at Elise Flowers , and the strong reds complimented the strong red colour theme that Grace chose perfectly. Now I know it may seem fussy, and it’s just a tiny thing on the face of it, but the flowers were all well labelled with the names of who was going to wear them. This doesn’t always happen, and when it doesn’t, it causes such confusion at weddings. There was no confusion here though, Jean had labelled everything very carefully, everyone knew who’s flower was who’s!! Believe me, these tiny things can make a big difference, so well done Jean.
Myton On Swale Church is gorgeous, set in a small village, and Grace travelled to church in a Classic wedding car by Superior Motor Cars.
Rain stopped play outside in the afternoon, so guests enjoyed drinks and canape in the main hall at Allerton Castle. We managed to spend some time with Grace and Tony after dinner for a few photographs outside, taking advantage of the fabulous grounds and backdrop of the castle.
Tony received an unusual surprise as Grace’s dad read out a card from none other than Sir ALex Ferguson wishing Tony and Grace well. By the look on Tony’s face, the card was genuine – judge for yourself!!
Fun band Pure Silk played for the first dance, then went on to rock the room for the rest of the night.
Friends and relatives can register here to see the rest of the wedding photographs once Grace and Tony have viewed them at our studio.
