Yorkshire wedding photo of the week – week3
Week 3 – Having fun at Allerton Castle
Here we go with another favourite Yorkshire wedding photograph, taken a couple of months ago at Allerton Castle near Knaresbrough, North Yorkshire. This one springs to mind because the bride and groom’s album is now ready for collection, and I was checking through it just yesterday.
Whilst I was doing some evening photography with the bride and groom – it had been raining in the afternoon so we didn’t get outside then, so took a second shot at it after dinner – Tony was sitting on a bench as I worked with Grace a few feet away. His three nieces, and young nephew were running all over the gardens, chasing each other around. The three girls climbed onto the bench with Tony, and in just an instant, looked over at Karen. She had been following the girls at a distance, and she landed this corker. It’s fantastic when I can be getting on with photographing the bride, confident in the knowledge that Karen will be bringing home wedding photographs like this. It’s taken just a few feet away but with a different feel to the shot I was taking at the time. I’ll maybe share the shot I was taking next week.
I’ve processed this through Nik Silver Efex Pro2 using the Fuji Neopan Pro 1600 effect, this being a favourite in the good old days of film.
