York photographers collect 17 awards at the Yorkshire MPA Awards – Steve voted Yorkshire MPA Photographer of 2010

Three into seventeen does go!!!!

Three York photographers took a massive seventeen awards between them at the recent Yorkshire region print competition of The Master Photographers Association, including the top accolade of Yorkshire Region Photographer of the Year. The prints were judged by Desi Fontaine, FMPA, National President of the MPA who commented on the extremely high quality of the entries in the region.

Keith Meadley, part of the Event Photos York team, won the Yorkshire Event Photographer of the year category as well as the Landscape/Travel photographer of the year with a stunning photograph of floodlit Lendal Bridge.

Paul Eddom made a clean sweep of the Industrial category as well receiving the highly commended award in the Architectural and commended in the Commercial categories. Paul also gained merits in Landscape and Pet categories and is the other half of the Event Photos York team.

Steve Ramsden, whose photographs were all in the wedding categories, was awarded both the Classical and Contemporary Wedding Photographer of the Year accolades. He was then voted as Yorkshire Region Photographer of the Year with his Classical Wedding photograph.
