Investing in you.

Karen and I have recently returned from a wedding photography convention in Tampa, USA. This sounds very glamorous, and of course we had a lot of fun, but in reality we spent 4 days in seminars and lectures, all focussing on the future of wedding photography, trends, styles, and so on. We met some of the world's top wedding photographers, and shared ideas about the way forward in our exciting industry. How does this help you, our future brides? All I can say is that we have returned full of ideas, excitement and fresh inspiration. We can't wait to carry that forward into our 2008 and 2009 weddings.

Call 01904 479063 to book an appointment with us, we can share ideas and help you create your ideal wedding album.

Book now for 2009 !!

Few would disagree that it is important to book the photographer that you want. Steve Ramsden Photography is currently taking bookings as far forward as December 2009.

Brides always seem surprised when we say that we are taking bookings well into the following year. We also have some dates left for 2008.

My own advice would be this - if your supplier can only supply one of an item per wedding, book him earlier rather than later to secure his service. ie, book your favourite band, car, photographer, venue, now before it's too late. Once your band is booked, they can't do two gigs in one night, your car can't be in two places at once, and so on.

It may go without saying, but bank holidays, 'teachers weekends' (last weekend in July, first in August), and for some reason October each year, all seem to book quickly. If you are planning a wedding for those times, remember to book Steve Ramsden Photography early to avoid disappointment.

Spring Wedding in Eskdale, English Lake District

On the 28 April this year we were invited over to the Lake District to photograph a wedding at St Catherine's Church in Eskdale. The weather was glorious, and the guests were treated to a train journey back to The Gatehouse in Eskdale Green village, before enjoying a very pleasant wedding reception overlooking the southern Eskdale valley. The evening's entertainment was provided by Event Music Company's jazz band.

This wedding will feature in the next issue of the Yorkshire Brides magazine, due out in January 2008. If you would like to reserve a free copy, please send me a note via our contacts page, and I will arrange for a copy to be sent to you with our compliments.

The attached photograph is of Chris and Sue at the head of Wasdale, looking across the Lake to Great Gable.
