Wedding photography Fountains Abbey and Swinton Park, North Yorkshire

We love big weddings, and weddings with a difference, and brides who really want to be photographed, so when Debs and Martin asked us to photograph their twin venue wedding, we jumped at the chance. Swinton Park and Fountains Hall/Fountains Abbey are each superb wedding venues in their own rights, but what a fabulous idea to include both venues in your wedding plans.

Debs and Martin both got ready at Swinton Park, North Yorkshire, and Martin travelled through to Fountains Hall with the wedding guests, ready for the civil ceremony at Fountains Hall, by double decker bus. Following the ceremony, the guests enjoyed drinks and canapes on the herb garden terrace whilst the bride and groom toured Fountains Abbey with their friends, giving us chance to take a wide and varied set of wedding photographs. Debs loves the water gardens, and was determined to have some images around the Temple of Piety before returning to Swinton Park with Martin and their guests on the double decker bus, ready for the wedding breakfast in Samuels restaurant.

We have photographed lots of weddings at Swinton Park, and Samuels always looks splendid when dressed for a wedding breakfast.

After dinner, the bride and groom took a short trip to Coffin Lake for some quiet time before returning to dance the night away to the Event Music Company Jazz Band. Guests were then treated to a hog roast supper and fireworks, to round off a truly fun packed day, touring some of the best scenery that Yorkshire has to offer.
